One Year Mathematics Education Lecturer Appointment

The University of New Hampshire (UNH) Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a non-tenure-track position to teach courses in mathematics education and mathematics during the 2013-14 academic year. This is an 88%-time position with full benefits. The teaching load is five courses for the academic year. We are seeking a candidate highly qualified in teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level. Compatibility of the candidate's research interests with those already present in the department and ability to mentor graduate students will be considered a plus.

UNH is the primary university in the University System of New Hampshire. It has approximately 14,500 students and is situated in the beautiful seacoast area of southern New Hampshire, in close proximity to the ocean and the White Mountains, and only 60 miles from Boston with convenient bus and train service. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers programs in mathematics, mathematics education, applied mathematics and statistics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Department faculty members have many opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and research.

Applicants must possess at least a master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related discipline by August 2013. A Ph.D. in Mathematics Education is strongly preferred. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
