At least 17 civilians from the one wedding party and two Isaf soldiers were killed in two separate bomb blasts from improvised explosive devices (IED) on Friday, officials said.

The 17 civilians were travelling together in a minibus as part of a wedding party when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb blast in western Farah province on Friday afternoon, provincial spokesman Abdul Rahman Zhandou said.

Four other civilians were injured in the blast and most of the victims were women and children, he said.

The incident took place in Pusht Rood district of the province.

"These were innocent people including women and children who were killed in the blast," he said.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the bomb.

More than 20 civilians have been killed by the roadside bomb blasts in Afghanistan in the past week.

On the same day two Isaf soldiers were killed in the blast from an IED in eastern Afghanistan, Isaf said.

"Two International Security Assistance Force service members died following an improvised explosive device attack in eastern Afghanistan today," Isaf said in a statement on Friday.

The statement did not provide more details about the exact location of the incident or nationality of the soldiers.

Friday's death brings to 382 the number of Isaf troops killed in Afghanistan this year - 290 US troops, 44 British and 48 soldiers from other nations. Fifteen have died this month.

Around 66,000 US troops and 37,000 troops of other nations are fighting insurgents in Afghanistan.
